Spicy Green Bean Salad 凉拌四季豆
Ingredients
Makes 4 servings
- 1 pound green beans
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tbsp vegetarian mushroom oyster sauce
- 2 tsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 red chili pepper, chopped
- hot banana pepper rings for garnishing
Method
- Remove the ends of green beans, and wash them for a few times.
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water with salt for about 5 to 8 minutes, and shock them in cold water.
- Remove the beans with a strainer as soon as cool to the touch. Set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the garlic, oyster sauce, vinegar, sesame oil , and red chili pepper with the green beans well.
- Refrigerate the green beans for about 30 minutes. Adjust the seasoning, adding more salt or vinegar as desired.
- Garnish with hot banana pepper before serving.
I mixed a jalapeno pepper with the green beans by accident :-) |
