Perilla Leaves Salad
Ingredients
Makes 2 to 4 servings
- 25 to 30 green perilla leaves (not the purple one)
- 1 scallion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp hot pepper flakes
- 1 tsp sesame seed
Method
- Soak the leaves in cold water and wash them thoroughly. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the scallions, soy sauce, water, vinegar, hot pepper flakes together.
- Coat the leaves with soy sauce mixtures evenly. Refrigerate them for 1 to 2 days.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve with rice.
