Reese's Chewy Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients
Makes 4 dozen cookies or bars
- 2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/4 cups butter or margarine, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 package (10oz.) Reese's peanut butter chips
Method
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the peanut butter chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheet.
- Bake 9 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly on cookie sheet, then remove from sheet to wire rack to cool completely.
- Spread batter in greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan. Bake at 350ºF for 20 minutes.
- Cool completely in pan on wire rack; cut into bars.
