Black Sweet Rice 흑미찹쌀



Ingredients
Makes 2 to 3 servings


  • 1 cup short grain rice
  • 1/3 black rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 20 pieces red beans (optional)

Method


  1. Soak the black sweet rice and red beans overnight before cooking.
  2. Combine the soaked black sweet rice, red beans and short grain rice together.
  3. Wash and drain a few times and put the mixed rice in a 2.5qt or larger pot.
  4. Add the water into the pot, and bring to a boil over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  5. Simmer the rice over low heat for another 10 minutes.
  6. Stir the rice with a spoon and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
